The importance of internal site search

We're talking about the search bar where people enter keywords or phrases to find content after they are already on your website. And internal search is just as important as having a good navigation structure to guide site visitors. In fact, around 43% of website visitors go directly to the search box instead of using drop-down menus. With that many potential conversions using internal search to connect to your care, shouldn't search matter to you?

When Coffey's development team recently reimagined the internal site search options we build into our clients' websites, they empowered consumers and healthcare organizations alike by prioritizing the following:

Featured search results. This lets marketing teams choose a page that will show up at the very top of the results list when a consumer performs a search. This is a great way to prioritize the messages you want to get out in front of your consumers.

Customized search. We added the ability to hide items from search or add keywords to give individual pages a higher priority in search results. For example, if a client wants their services page to be the very first thing that gets returned in search, they can do that.
