Keeping your website secure
Often, hospitals we partner with—or those who are interested in partnering with us—want to know how to protect information stored on their websites. We recommend that their website become HITRUST certified.
This certification means that whoever builds and maintains their website follows rigorous policies and processes required to adhere to the most stringent information security in the industry.
HITRUST Alliance is a well-respected third-party credentialing site. To become certified, an organization must demonstrate that its web hosting and mailing services data systems have met a strict set of regulations and requirements for protecting sensitive data and information.
Organizations must complete a precise course to demonstrate compliance. This includes compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). HITRUST certification shows an organization takes care of sensitive data.
Other security steps Coffey deploys for clients
In addition to being HITRUST certified, Coffey deploys other layers of protection in Site Assist, the health care content management system (CMS) we use to build our websites.
For example, many of our clients have forms they use to collect contact-sensitive data that they want further encrypted, such as financial assistance information. Our platform allows them to set up encryptions that add an extra layer of security to their forms.
We also provide protection against bot attacks that our clients can enable on their forms, as well as timers to curb bot usage.
